Honeysuckle Doulas was founded and is managed by Holly Hamel. She has a B.S. in Health Science, with a Major in Health Behavior from Georgia Southern University. She is a certified Postpartum Doula Trainer and Lactation Specialist Trainer through Birth University©. Holly also trained as a Postpartum Doula and Lactation Educator with CAPPA. Holly has also trained with Baby Steps Online as a Childbirth Educator. She is an Emergency Medical Technician (E.M.T.) with current Infant & Child CPR and has worked on an ambulance, in the E.R., and in a surgery center. A majority of her post college work was in mental health, specializing in women and children. She is the mother of a son whom she breast fed for 20 months.
Holly is committed to providing new families with professional, educated, and experienced Postpartum Doulas & Lactation Specialists. She thoroughly interviews and checks backgrounds of all employees and holds a high standard for continuing education.
Holly feels that Honeysuckle Doulas will prove to be an invaluable asset to the birth team in the Metro Atlanta and Metro Orlando community.
