Honeysuckle Doulas Infant Care Philosophy
Honeysuckle Doulas love to empower parents to find the philosophy that is right for them. We teach them to detect and honor that inner intuition that God gave THEM specifically to parent their babies. While many of us identify with Attachment Parenting philosophies for our own children, we do not impose our opinions on our clients. Rather, we offer up-to-date information and use Reflective Listening so we can assist families in uncovering their own feelings and help them to make educated decisions for their babies. We look for the solutions that lead to the greatest good for the whole family unit in the short AND the long term. We have a non-judgmental and supportive approach, so we reach many families of varying backgrounds.
Why we do what we do
We LOVE babies! We view them as the most amazing gifts anyone is ever given. We love that precious time when a new baby comes home and everyone is so tired but so happy! We love to encourage new mothers and fathers. Seeing them develop into conscientious parents that feel empowered to know exactly what their baby needs is the greatest blessing in our work. Teaching a mom to go from a frazzled and timid nurser to a multi-tasking pro, is so satisfying. We love to make an impact on families by helping them to be strong in their awareness and solid in their abilities. Honeysuckle Doulas truly change the world, one family at a time.
